I have been oyster farming for 15 years and have oyster leases in both the Hawkesbury River and Patonga Creek. To maximise flexibility in my business I grow both Spawnless Pacifics (winter crop ) and Sydney Rock Oysters (summer crop ).
Growing two species of oysters in two different estuaries enables me to offer variety in flavour and texture.
I am currently the Coordinator for the Hawkesbury River Shellfish Program and Broken Bay Oyster Association Secretary.
I actively involve myself in volunteer days working with various groups/stakeholders to help educate the public on the importance of good water quality.
